Weekly Shinedown - Song Seventy Two - Second Chance - Live Acoustic From Kansas City!

Hey There!

So this next song is of course one of my all-time favourites by Shinedown, and hence why it was my first ever post of a Shinedown song.

I think that it was a little later into July 2015 when I first heard this song, especially since it is the last song on the whole of the live album. There's just something so special about Shinedown always singing Second Chance at the end of their concerts and I reckon that it would leave the audience feeling completely amazed!

I especially like this version of the song because it is so close to the original acoustic version by Shinedown, and I also adore the vocals to the song because they honestly just have so much passion behind them! If I were to ever go to a Shinedown concert, I would honestly have to pour my whole entire heart out into Second Chance.

Last of all, Brent always gives an amazing speech at the end of each of Shinedown's concerts, which is really inspiring. And as a matter of fact, since Second Chance was the second song that I ever learned to play on the guitar, the chords just mean so much to me, and two days ago, I was actually playing this exact song!

Thank you to you all who have taken the time to read through my recent posts, and I hope that you all stay tuned in for future posts from me!

I'll see you all next Thursday!

Lois xx

P.S. I'll leave the lyrics to Second Chance below incase you're interested!

My eyes are open wide
And by the way,
I made it through the day
I watched the world outside
By the way,
I'm leaving out today

I just saw Halley's comet
She waved
Said, "Why you always running in place?"
Even the man in the moon disappeared
Somewhere in the stratosphere

Tell my mother,
Tell my father
I've done the best I can
To make them realise
This is my life
I hope they understand
I'm not angry, I'm just saying...
Sometimes goodbye is a second chance

Please don't cry one tear for me
I'm not afraid
Of what I have to say
This is my one and only voice
So listen close,
It's only for today

I just saw Halley's comet
She waved
Said, "Why you always running in place?"
Even the man in the moon disappeared
Somewhere in the stratosphere

Tell my mother,
Tell my father
I've done the best I can
To make them realise
This is my life
I hope they understand
I'm not angry, I'm just saying...
Sometimes goodbye is a second chance

Here's my chance
This is my chance

Tell my mother,
Tell my father
I've done the best I can
To make them realise
This is my life
I hope they understand
I'm not angry, I'm just saying...
Sometimes goodbye is a second chance

Sometimes goodbye is a second chance
Sometimes goodbye is a second chance
