Here is my next song that has contributed to my Shinedown journey!
After listening to the original version of I Dare You, I decided to listen to the acoustic version because I knew that since I had loved the original, and all of the other Shinedown acoustic tracks, I would love this one!
The first time that I listened to this song would have been at the beginning of November 2014, but I didn't add it into my main playlist until Tuesday 11th November 2014.
The introduction to this song is amazing, and I just love the constant strumming that is played in the introduction, and in the background of the first verse.
My favourite line of this song has got to be "even in madness I know you still believe, paint me on canvas so I become what you could never be" mainly because of the meaning behind it. The way that I see this song is as if God is telling someone that even though life is complicated, he can see that they still have faith in him. Then God is telling him to look up to him, and he will send his son into the world to become the perfect and sinless human beings that we could never live up to!
This song has got such impossible chords to it, and although I would absolutely love to be able to play the introduction at least, it will probably never happen. Therefore, I will just have to appreciate everyone's amazing covers on YouTube!
